Saskatoon has a very active comedy scene. At one point prior to the pandemic you were able to access professional or open mic comedy on just about any night of the week.
Comedians of all different backgrounds and experiences would use these rooms to hone their craft, or just to entertain. Some with dreams of being the next big star, an others just enjoying making people laugh.
Comedy has always had a bit of a rough edge to it. The language can be provocative, the subject matter can be (very) adult in nature and for some people that isn't their kettle of fish.
The Comedy Pit was born to fill a niche that was missing in Saskatoon.
The Pit asks comics to bring their 'corporate clean' comedy to it's stage. If you were wondering what corporate clean means, think of the kind of comedy you would see on a broadcast network (not cable, or streaming). The language is clean and the material is more PG-13 then 'R'.
If you've ever wanted to try stand up comedy, you are more than welcome to put together a 5-7 minute routine and reach out to us for a spot.
